FAIR NOTICE - STUDENT THREAT AND RISK ASSESSMENT
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is committed to maintaining a safe, caring, and supportive environment for all.
The protocols outlined below are mandated for all Ontario school boards and are designed to help us respond effectively when there are concerns about a student's behaviour or circumstances that may indicate a risk of harm to themselves or others.
The goal of this process is to understand the context of concerns, identify necessary supports, and develop plans that promote safety rather than to punish students. Because maintaining a safe environment is a shared responsibility, all students, staff, and families have a duty to report any threat-related behaviours, such as violence, weapon threats, or self-harm, to the school principal.
